MAINTENANCE AND SHARPENING OF THE BLADE
WARNING
Periodically check to ensure the blades are not bent or
damaged and that the xed comb on the blade is intact.
Ÿ
Adjustment of the distance between blades is not necessary, as this is predetermined
by the manufacturer.
Ÿ
If the blades are used correctly, following all the instructions provided, they will not
require any maintenance work and will not need sharpening.
Ÿ
It is necessary to sharpen the blades only when the trimming performance decreases
and the branches tend to stick together.
WARNING
Any intervention on the blade should always be conducted at a
specialised Centre that has the most appropriate tools and is
able to perform the operations without compromising the
safety of the machine.

Check for loose bolts, nuts and fittings.
Ÿ
Check to be sure that protector is securely in place.
Ÿ
Check to be sure that blade is not cracked.
USING THE UNIT
Preparations

Wear suitable protective clothing, observe safety precautions.
Ÿ
Adjust telescoping shaft to the required length.
Ÿ
Start the engine.
Ÿ
Put on the shoulder strap.
Cutting Sequence
To allow branches to free fall cut the lower branches first. Prune heavy branches (large
diameter) in several controllable pieces.
