LPF Menu (Low Pass Filter)
LPF stands for “Low Pass Filter”. This is the type of filter that is used to prevent a subwoofer from playing high
frequencies, but this is not the only use of the LPF. For example, if I set a low pass filter at 100Hz, frequencies
lower than 100Hz will “pass”, but frequencies greater than 100Hz will be attenuated by a specified slope. LPFs are
essential for subwoofers, because it allows the subwoofer to only play the low frequencies of your audio source.
A. Graph – Shows a graphical representation of the applied low pass filter.
B. Channel Mode - Change which channel the filter is to be applied to. Link mode will apply the same filter
to both, but you can also set individual filters for each channel (A and or B) if the APA1200DSP is used in
stereo mode.
C. Enable / Disable the LPF
D. Filter Settings
1. Slope – Options: 6dB, 12dB, 24dB, 36dB
2. Frequency - Range: 20Hz – 20,000Hz
