Troubleshooting
If there is a problem with your appliance, please check the following points before contacting your
local DCS Authorized Service Agency or DCS Customer Care Representative.

Freezer control and
lights are on, but
compressor is not
operating.
Refrigerator is in defrost
mode.
Normal operation.
Wait 40 minutes to see if refrigerator restarts.
Temperature-
controlled drawers
are too warm.
Control settings are not
right.

Freezer controls are not
right.
See page 11 to adjust controls.
Drawer is improperly
positioned.
See pages 12 – 14 to verify drawer
positioning.
Refrigerator does
not operate.
Refrigerator is not plugged
in.
Plug in refrigerator.
Touch temperature
controls are set to off.
See page 11 to adjust controls.
Fuse is blown, or circuit
breaker needs to be reset.
Replace any blown fuses.
Check circuit breaker and reset, if necessary.
Power outage has
occurred.
Call local power company listing to report
outage.
Refrigerator is
malfunctioning.
Unplug refrigerator and transfer food to
another refrigerator. If another refrigerator is
not available, place dry ice in freezer section
to preserve food. Warranty does not cover
food loss. Contact service agent (see page 36).
Food temperature
is too cold.
Condenser coils are dirty.
Clean according to the chart on page 23.
Refrigerator or freezer
controls are set too cold.
See page 11 to adjust controls.
Food is too close to upper
left air inlet.
Relocate food away from upper left corner.
