9.31 Roller Transfer
Use the following procedure to remove the transfer roller:
Caution:
The foam surface of the transfer roller is easily damaged by finger
oils and perspiration. Contamination can degrade image quality. When
handling the transfer roller, touch only the extreme end of the foam roller or the
metal shaft.
1.
Remove the EP-ED cartridge, as shown in Section 9.17.
2.
Use the end of the cleaning brush to hook onto the left side of the transfer
roller shaft.
3.
Pull up until the shaft releases from the bearing.
4.
Move the roller to the left to disengage the right bearing and remove the
transfer roller.
