5. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Your Decoflame e-Ribbon Fire™ has a built-in child safety ON/OFF switch which is located underneath the
lid of the touch LCD-display. ALwAYS start the operation of your Decoflame fireplace by switching it on
(push down gently onto the lid to the left, flip it over and press the ON button) and then start the ignition
process by pressing the START icon either on the smart phone / the touch LCD display / the button on
the remote control. DO NOT use lighters or matches. ONLY adults may operate the electronics of the
Decoflame Denver e-Ribbon Fire™.
All Decoflame bioethanol fireplaces are designed and manufactured exclusively for use with bioethanol
of high purity (96% to max. 97.5%). DO NOT use any other fuel or materials or bioethanol of inferior
quality as this will void your warranty. Bioethanol can be bought in specialized shops or on the internet
– ask your Decoflame point of sale for advice.
SwITCHING ON
Start the electronics of your Denver e-Ribbon Fire™ by opening the display lid, flipping it over and switch-
ing the ON button. Flip the lid back so that the LCD-display is fully visible.
LCD-DISPLAY AND USE OF REMOTE CONTROL
During operation of the fire, you could close the lid of the LCD-display completely by pressing down
gently onto it. You can still use the remote control / Decoflame App in order to change the flame level
settings or to shut down the fire, despite the display not being visible.
FILLING OF THE FUEL TANK
– First time fuelling
Open the lid of the fuel inlet and pull the closing mechanism to the right. Insert a funnel and fill in the
bioethanol.
NB: when filling the fuel tank, the electronics of the fireplace have to be switched on, in order to avoid
spillage.
– Re-fuelling during operation when FUEL EMPTY message appears on the display
DO NOT switch the electronics of the fireplace off. Open the lid of the fuel inlet. The display will show the
message FUEL LID OPEN and the fire will go into auto-shut-down mode. You will see the flames disappear
slowly. DO NOT start the re-fuelling process until you are certain that the fire is completely extinguished.
Then, open the fuel tank inlet by pulling the closing mechanism to the right. Insert a funnel and fill in the
bioethanol.
