The unit can automatically transmit an email to an SMTP server under numerous conditions i.e. on
start up, on receipt of an alarm, camera failure etc. This allows the unit to be installed in unmanned
applications where a Remote Video Response Centre (or Manager etc.) would be notified by email if any
of these conditions occur.
Note: This menu will only be displayed if ‘EMail Reporting’ is selected in the
System -> Features -> System menu.
Connection Profile
It is possible for the email to be transmitted via the Ethernet network.
This setting presumes that the unit is connected to a LAN or WAN and
allocated a valid IP address.
Username
Enter the login details for the email account used above.
Password
Enter the login details for the email account used above.
Mail Server Address
This is the IP address or URL of the SMTP Server that the email will
be sent to. The SMTP server will then forward this to the intended
recipient.
Recipient Email
This is the email address of the intended recipient.
Recipient Display Name
This is the addressee name that will be shown in the email name field.
Reply to Email
This field must be configured if the recipient is to reply to an email. The
unit does not accept incoming emails therefore ensure this is a valid
email address.
Reply To Display Name
This is the ‘reply to’ name that will be shown in the email name field.
