Firewall
This menu allows the user to block access to the unit via specific network port(s).
Enable Ping Response
Enabling this option will allow an external client to receive a response
when attempting to ‘ping’ the unit. Disabling this option will make the
unit less visible on the network.
Service Name
Up to 32 Configuration settings may be entered.
Port Start / Port End
Enter a start and end point for the ‘open’ port range. If a host tries to
communicate with the unit using a TCP/UDP port that is not within the
‘open’ range (even with a valid IP address), access will not be granted
to the unit. The enabled ports can be a range or single port address, if a
single port is needed then enter the same port number in the Start and
End options.
Type
Select either TCP or UDP port types.
Open
Select to open (enable) the configured port range.
Open All (Red)
Select to open (enable) all configured port ranges.
By IP (Green)
Select to open the Firewall Access by IP menu
Refresh (Purple)
Refreshes the information on the current page
