6  Maintenance

6.1

General instructions

Caution

Maintenance operations must be completed by a qualified in

staller.

Use only genuine spare parts.

6.2

Safety valve or safety unit (domestic hot water circuit)

The safety valve or unit on the domestic cold water inlet must be operated

at least once a month in order to ensure that it works properly and take

precautions against possible pressure surges which would damage the

domestic hot water tank.

Warning

Failure to follow this maintenance requirement may lead to the de

terioration of the domestic hot water tank and void its warranty.

Warning

Only operate the valve (red head) of the domestic hot water cir

cuit. Do not operate the valve (yellow head) on the solar circuit.

6.3

Cleaning the casing material

1. Clean the outside of appliances using a damp cloth and a mild de

tergent.

6.4

Impressed current anode

No maintenance operations are required on an impressed current anode.

Warning

The boiler control panel must be switched on to ensure that the

impressed current anode operates. Failure to follow this mainte

nance requirement may lead to the deterioration of the domestic

hot water tank and void its warranty.

On the impressed current anode PCB there is a green LED:

The LED will flash once when the PCB is switched on.

The LED will be off during normal operation.

If a fault is present:

The LED will flash, check the connections on the PCB and the tank.

If the led is constantly lit, replace the PCB.

6.5

Inspection and maintenance of the solar circuit

Important

We recommend that you take out a maintenance contract provid

ing for an annual or biannual check of the fluid level, the frost pro

tection, the pressure of the installation and the expansion vessel,

its tightness and its general running.

6.6

Solar control system

The solar control system is governed by the boiler control system.
All parameters and settings on the solar control system are managed from

the boiler control panel.
