6.1 Important recommendations
● Fill the heating circuit before filling the tank with domestic hot water.
● Increase the pressure of the heating circuit before pressurising the
domestic hot water circuit.
● If necessary, flush the domestic water circuit and fill the tank via the
cold water inlet pipe.
● Degas the secondary circuit (tank and distribution grid) to avoid the
noise caused by trapped air moving around during heating and draw-
offs.
● Completely fill with water by leaving one hot water tap on; only turn this
tap off when there is a regular, silent flow in the pipework.
● Then degas all the hot water pipes individually by turning on the
corresponding taps.
● Degas the primary circuit (heating) at the highest point using a suitable
bleeder (not supplied with the tank).
● Check the safety components (valves in particular), complying with the
manual supplied with this appliance.
Warning
Connect the safety component to a drainage pipe, kept open to
the air, in a frost-free environment, at a continuous downward
gradient, to drain any heat-expanded water or water drained
from the water heater.
● In the case of domestic hot water production via the immersion heater
(particularly in summer), the exchanger isolation valve must be opened
for water expansion.
Note
When heating domestic water, some water may drip from the
safety unit following water expansion
Warning
There is no need to worry as this is completely normal, and
should not be prevented.
Note
A pressure reducer (not supplied) is required when the supply
pressure exceeds 5 bar (0.5 MPa) and will be placed on the
main supply.
