Avoid excessive air pressure.
Do not use the compressor inside a vehicle.
Do not leave the compressor unattended when
switched on.
Switch off the compresor immediately if:
1. the adapter connector or the power cable is defec-
tive;
2. there is a smell of burning insulation.
Caution!
This compressor is only intended
for short periods of use (not more than 10
minutes). Longer use of the equipment can
cause the compressor to overheat or malfunction. If it is
necessary to use the equipment for long periods of
time, switch the equipment off after the = rst 10 minutes
and allow it to cool for at least 10 minutes before
switching it on again.
Note!
In some versions of the compressor, there is an adapt-
er connector on the side of the housing which is com-
patible with a cigarette lighter socket. When you have
connected the compressor to the cigarette lighter, you
can connect other equipment to the adapter connector.
However, you should avoid connecting other equip-
ment, since the amount of electricity consumed can be
too high in such cases. This can result in the adapter
connector or the cigarette lighter not working or the
fuses which form part of the electrical system of the
vehicle shorting or the vehicle battery losing power.
CLEANING
Every time you use the equipment, it is recommended
that you clean the housing of the automobile compres-
sor and the ventilation holes with a cloth or a serviette,
so that they are free of dirt and dust.
Where the equipment is very dirty, use a cloth which
has been soaked in soapy water.
Solvents such as benzine, alcohol, ammonia solutions,
etc. are not to be used to clean the equipment. These
liquids can damage the plastic components of the com-
pressor.
POSSIBLE FAULTS
1. The compressor will not start.
The fuse is faulty.
- Replace the fuse in the power distributor of the ve-
hicle.
There is a poor contact in the cigarette lighter socket.
- Clean the cigarette lighter socket using a non-metal-
lic object.
2. The compressor is not working properly
The battery of the vehicle is low on power.
- Start the engine.
There is a poor contact in the cigarette lighter socket.
- Clean the cigarette lighter socket with a non-metallic
object.
«Product of SBM group» products are constantly being
improved. This can result in changes being made to the
speci= cations or the design of a product without any
prior notice. We apologise for any inconvenience which
this may cause.
• Pay attention and concentrate when using the com-
pressor.
• Do not use the compressor if you feel tired or you
are ill.
• Regularly check the equipment for defects and
faults.
• Please contact the Service Centre in the event of a
fault.
• To avoid faults, do not use spare parts produced by
other manufacturers.
• Make sure that the adapter connector is clean. If
a short circuit occurs when the compressor is con-
nected to the automobile battery, a life-threatening
situation can arise. The battery has a very high cur-
rent capacity, so there is a risk of injury.
• Make sure that the compressor does not overheat.
Do not place any foreign objects on top of the com-
pressor while it is in use.
BEFORE USING, CHECK:
- that the automobile battery voltage complies with
the compressor’s speci= cations;
- that the battery can supply a 10 A current.
- that the cable and cigarette lighter socket are opera-
tional.
OPERATION
Prior to operation, please check that the on/off switch
on the pump and the switch for the lighting mode are in
the «STOP» and «OFF» positions respectively (Fig. 2
and item 4 in Fig. 4).
Park the vehicle so that the air valve on the tyre is as
close to the ground as possible. Insert the adapter
connector of the compressor into the cigarette lighter
socket (item 1 in Fig. 1). Connect the air pressure hose
of the compressor to the tyre valve (item 2 in Fig. 1).
When doing this, the locking lever on the connector
must be released (parallel to the connector). The air
valve on the car tyre is to be cleaned beforehand. To
attach the connector to the tyre valve, the locking lever
must be pressed in the direction of the hose (item 3
in Fig.1).
Check the pressure in the object which you wish to in-
? ate. After attachment of the connector, you can read
the pressure on the display of the compressor.
By pressing the «M» button (item 1 in Fig. 3), you can
select the appropriate unit of measurement, that is to
say «psi», «bar» or «kPa».
Using the «+» and «-» buttons (item 2 in Fig. 3), you
can enter the required pressure.
By pressing the «START“ button (item 4 in Fig. 3), the
compressor is switched on and is then automatically
switched off once the preset pressure is reached.
The automobile compressor has a lamp which oper-
ates in different lighting modes (Fig. 4).
In «LIGHT“ mode, the lamp emits a constant stream of
white light and is excellent for lighting purposes.
In «FLASH“ mode, the lamp ? ashes red, which makes
it possible for a person to make his position known.
In «SOS“ mode, the lamp ? ashes red at set intervals of
time and, in this way, sends a help signal.
ATTENTION!
Pay attention to the pressure of the object which is to
be in? ated.
