The freezer is designed to operate in three ways. It can operate as a
refrigerator, a chiller
or a freezer.
The temperature selection knob is located in the Multimode control panel.

The temperature in the cabinet may be
adjusted by means of the knob assembled
on the thermostat, position “MAX” being
the lowest temperature.
Select the operating mode (see setting the temperature as set out below)
Insert the plug of the Chest freezer into an earthed wall socket and switch on.
Wait for at least 6 hours before loading the freezer with food.
The control panel green indicator light glows when there is power to the Chest Freezer.
Please note:
You may hear a noise as the
compressor starts up. The liquid and gases
sealed within the freezer system may also give rise to noise, even if the compressor is not
running, this is quite normal.
During the Refrigerator or Chiller operation, there may be a build up of condensate water
on the cabinet floor. This is normal and the water should be sponged up and removed
if it becomes excessive, or removed via the drain if fitted.
If the Chest Freezer is used as a freezer, it will require periodic defrosting. The cabinet
also requires defrosting before switching from Freezer to Refrigerator or Chiller
operation. The defrosting procedure is described in this book in the “Defrosting” section.
The achieved temperatures may vary according to certain conditions of use such as:
Placement of the Chest Freezer, ambient temperature, frequency of lid opening and
closing and the extent to which the freezer is filled with food.
The position of the thermostat knob should be adjusted to suit the operating conditions.
