4.3.2 Failure mode relay
- If a fault occurs, the
failure mode
is automatically activated. This means that the device has a
high impedance and the threshold value is no longer monitored.
- An external
failure mode relay
(e.g. switch contactor) can be connected on a higher level to
ensure personal protection (see Fig. 4.3.2c).
- After analysing (see Table 1, page 23) and eliminating the fault, if any, the failure mode can be
reset by pressing the
“Reset failure mode”
button (see Fig. 4.3.2b).
- The device returns to normal operation and the external
failure mode relay
is deactivated.
