Changing the sensitivity and resolution
Delcam Orthotic Insoles
software as been set up with the optimum
settings for scanning feet, foam boxes and casts. The scan results depend
on the following factors:
Lighting conditions (artificial lighting).
Colour of item being scanned.
Level of detail required.
If the scan results are not satisfactory, try adjusting the default setting for
sensitivity and resolution.
Adjusting the sensitivity settings may improve the scan results in the
following situations:
If the material is dark, increasing the sensitivity may improve the
scan result.
If the results are affected by artificial lighting, reducing the
sensitivity settings may improve the scan result. Alternatively, try
moving the scanner to another location or turnng off the artificial
lighting.
Increasing the sensitivity captures more data becaues the internal
cameras are ‘open’ for longer.
There is a greater risk of capturing ‘noisy’ data if the sensitivity is
increased. This will increase the time taken to process the mesh.
