Note
: For additional information about MCM connections, see Appendix A.
Once cabling is complete, the OME-M console is used to create the MCM group. This is
done by either the Chassis Deployment Wizard or by going to the designated lead chassis
and clicking Configure > Create Chassis Group and completing the MCM group wizard.
Figure 18 shows a two-member MX7000 MCM group, Group1, with two participating
chassis members.

Note:
In the event the lead chassis fails, an administrator can access a member chassis through
its assigned IP address to determine which chassis has taken over the lead role. In the event the
chassis is not in the lead role, a caution banner is displayed.
PowerEdge MX7000 OME-M component management
All switches running OS10EE Enterprise Edition (OS10EE) automatically form a
redundant management cluster that provides a single REST API endpoint to OME-M to
manage all switches in a chassis or across all chassis in an MCM group. This SmartFabric
management endpoint exists even if the switches are not running in SmartFabric mode.
