– Configure rapid spanning-tree protocol (RSTP) mode
▪
vlan
– Configure spanning-tree on a VLAN range

: For additional information about spanning-tree and available options, see Appendix A.
PowerEdge MX7000 SmartFabric topologies
This section contains the supported SmartFabric topologies. The topology is chosen while
deploying a SmartFabric and the deployment wizard validates that the appropriate
switches and installed in the appropriate Fabric A or Fabric B slots.
Figure 28 shows the supported topology for the Scalable Fabric Architecture. The blue
links represent two QSFP28-DD ports in a VLTi configuration. Placing the MX9116n FSEs
in separate chassis provides redundancy in the event of a hardware failure. This
configuration supports placement in chassis1, fabric slot A1, and chassis 2, slot A2.
Alternatively, chassis1, slot B1, and chassis 2, slot B2 is supported. The red links
represent the FEM to FSE connections.
Note:
A SmartFabric cannot include an IOM in Fabric A and an IOM in Fabric B.

Figure 29 shows two MX9116n FSEs in either fabric slots A1/A2 or B1/B2. The blue links
represent two QSFP28-DD ports in a VLTi configuration.
