Deploying a SmartFabric
SmartFabric deployment consists of four steps that are completed using the OME-M
console:
1.
Create the VLANs to be used in the fabric.
2.
Select switches and create the fabric based on the physical topology desired.
3.
Create uplinks from the fabric to the existing network and assign VLANs to those
uplinks.
4.
Deploy the appropriate server templates to the compute sleds.

Besides being able to create and assign VLANs, SmartFabric automates QoS settings
based on chosen configuration options. Figure 36 shows that when defining a VLAN, one
of several QoS options must be chosen. Each of these options represents a traffic class
ID that is mapped to a data queue.
