X400H mid hard drive replacement

and 16 in an X400H capacity cube.
Removing the drive carrier from the mid drive tray
Before you begin

the PowerProtect Data Manager UI. Note down the node ID (for example, Capacity cube 06)
and the drive number.
3. Put the X400 capacity cube into maintenance mode in the PowerProtect Data Manager UI.
a. In the PowerProtect Data Manager UI, click the Appliance tab in the left navigation pane.
b. On the Appliance page, in the Capacity Cubes section, click the Details icon next to the
capacity cube you want to put into maintenance mode.
The Cube Details page appears.
c. On the Cube Details page, click Put Into Maintenance Mode.

job is created. You can monitor this job on
the Jobs page. The job takes approximately five minutes to complete.

If the drive is online, the green activity/fault indicator flashes as the drive is turned off. When the
drive indicators are off, the drive is ready for removal.
Procedure
1. Lift the drive carrier handle upward.
2. Press the release tab on the drive tray and lift the drive carrier handle upward to disengage
the drive from the backplane.
3. Hold the drive carrier handle and lift the drive carrier out of the drive tray.
