Procedure to replace M.2 2280 card
NOTE: This procedure applies only to computers shipped with a M.2 2280 card installed.
NOTE: Depending on the configuration ordered, the computer may have up to two M.2 cards installed. Supported
card configurations per M.2 card slot:

M.2 2230 solid-state drive
•
M.2 2280 solid-state drive/Intel Optane storage
NOTE: Install the solid-state drive to the SSD1 slot before installing the solid-state drive to the SSD2 slot on the
system board.

Align the notch on the M.2 2280 solid-state drive with the tab on the M.2 solid-state drive slot on the system board.
2 Slide the M.2 2280 solid-state drive into the M.2 solid-state drive slot on the system board.
3 Align the screw holes on the thermal shield with the screw holes on the computer base.
