Add Storage Capacity
The system supports capacity expansion operations by adding new disk shelves while the system is powered on. The chapter

About this task
Verify the system is healthy and ready for expansion before proceeding with the upgrade procedure.
Steps
1. Log in as a sysadmin user.
2. Display the current alerts on the system.
Run the following command:
alerts show current
# alerts show current
No active alerts.
3. Resolve all displayed alerts.
4. Run the
filesys disable
command to disable the file system.
Install and connect the new storage
Verify a license exists for the new capacity before attempting to add it to the system.
