Command History
Version 8.3.11.1
Introduced on the Z9000.
Version 8.3.7.0

Version 7.8.1.0
Introduced on the S-Series.
Version 7.7.1.0
Introduced on the C-Series.
Usage
Information
Configure the same password on both BGP peers or a connection does not occur. When you
configure MD5 authentication between two BGP peers, each segment of the TCP connection
between them is verified and the MD5 digest is checked on every segment sent on the TCP
connection.
Configuring a password for a neighbor causes an existing session to be torn down and a new
one established.
