Prerequisites
Remove the
Procedure
1
Open the latch and disconnect the display-assembly cable from the system board.

Note the routing of the display cable and remove the cable from its routing guides on the fan and palm rest and keyboard assembly.

Remove the three screws (M2.5x6) that secure the left hinge to palm rest and keyboard assembly.

Open the left hinge.

Open the latch and disconnect the power-button board cable from the I/O board.

Gently peel off the tape that secures the power-button board to the palm rest and keyboard assembly.

Remove the screw (M2x2) that secures the power-button board to the palm rest and keyboard assembly.

Release the power-button board from the tabs and lift the power-button board along with the cable off the palm rest and keyboard
assembly.
