Reinstall the floppy drive cage, and reinstall the two M2.5 x 5-mm screws that secure the floppy drive cage to the system board.

microprocessor thermal-cooling assembly
that you removed from the old system board.

Replace the
palm rest

Replace the
video card
and the
EMI shield
that you removed from the old system board.

keyboard

Replace the
floppy drive

optical drive

modem

memory module
, and
hard drive

If applicable, replace the PC Card in the PC Card slot.
9.
Replace the battery.
10.
Connect the AC adapter to your computer and to an electrical outlet.
11.
Turn on the computer.
12.
Insert the floppy disk or CD that accompanied the replacement system board into the appropriate drive, and turn on the computer. Follow the
instructions on the screen.
