— displays logging settings and system messages in the internal
buffer.
logging
Configure an IP address or host name of a Syslog server where logging messages are sent. Multiple
logging servers of both IPv4 and/or IPv6 can be configured.
Syntax
logging {
ip-address
|
ipv6-address
|
hostname
} [vrf
vrf-name
]
To disable logging, use the
no logging
command.
Parameters
ip-address
Enter the IPv4 address in dotted decimal format.
ipv6-address
Enter the IPv6 address in the x:x:x:x::X format.
NOTE: The :: notation specifies successive hexadecimal
fields of zeros.
hostname
Enter the name of a host already configured and recognized
by the switch.
