Basic Interface Commands
The following commands are for Physical, Loopback, and Null interfaces.
clear counters
Clear the counters used in the
show interfaces
commands for all virtual router redundancy protocol
(VRRP) groups, virtual local area networks (VLANs), and physical interfaces, or selected ones.
Syntax
clear counters [

Parameters
interface
(OPTIONAL) Enter any of the following keywords and slot/
port or number to clear counters from a specified interface:
• For a Loopback interface, enter the keyword
loopback
then a number from 0 to 16383.
• For a Port Channel interface, enter the keywords
port-
channel
then a number. The range is from 1 to 128.
• For the management interface on the RPM, enter the
keyword
ManagementEthernet
then slot/port
information. The slot range is from 0 to 1 and the port
range is 0.
• For a 10-Gigabit Ethernet interface, enter the keyword
TenGigabitEthernet
then the slot/port information.
• For a 40-Gigabit Ethernet interface, enter the keyword
fortyGigE
then the slot/port information.
• For a VLAN, enter the keyword
VLAN
then a number from
1 to 4094.

(OPTIONAL) Enter the keyword
vrrp
to clear the counters of
all VRRP groups. To clear the counters of a specified group,
enter a VRID number from 1 to 255.
