clock source
The
clock source
Global Configuration mode command configures an
external time source for the system clock. Use the
no
form of this command
to disable the external time source.
Syntax
clock source
{
sntp
}
no clock source
Parameters
sntp
—Specifies that an SNTP server is the external clock source.
Default Configuration
There is no external clock source.
Command Mode
Global Configuration mode
Example
The following example configures an SNTP server as an external time source
for the system clock.
Console(config)#
clock source sntp
clock timezone
Use the
clock timezone
Global Configuration command to set the time zone
for display purposes. Use the
no
form of this command to set the time to
Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) or Greenwich Mean Time (GMT),
which is the same.
Syntax
clock timezone
zone
hours-offset [minutes-offset]
