Default Configuration
No DNS server is defined.
User Guidelines
If DNS IP servers are not configured for a DHCP client, the client cannot
correlate host names to IP addresses.
Example
The following example specifies 10.12.1.99 as the client domain name server
IP address.

dns-server
10.12.1.99
domain-name
Use the
domain-name
DHCP Pool Configuration mode command to specify
the domain name for a Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP)
client. Use the
no
form of this command to remove the domain name.
Syntax
domain-name
domain
no domain-name
Parameters
domain
—Specifies the DHCP client domain name string. (Length: 1–32
characters)
Command Mode
DHCP Pool Host Configuration mode
DHCP Pool Network Configuration mode
