Insert the replacement EMM into the EMM bay until it is fully seated.

Push the release lever toward the chassis until it clicks into place.

Connect all the cables to the EMM.

Perform a Phone Home and contact Dell Technical Support Services as described on
Replacing the Control Panel
The SC200 and SC220 enclosures contain a control panel that shows the enclosure and
power status. The control panel is not hot-swappable.
Use this procedure to replace a failed control panel.

Perform a Phone Home, contact Dell Technical Support Services, and shut down the
controller(s) and enclosure(s) as described on
.

Remove the hard drives contained in the following slots as described on
•
Slots 0, 4, and 8 in an SC200
•
Slots 0 to 5 in an SC220
Note the slot position of each hard drive as you remove it. After replacing the control
panel, the hard drives will need to be reinstalled in the same slot position.

Release the control panel as follows and then slide the control panel out of the chassis.
•
On an SC200, push the release tab toward the front of the enclosure.
•
On an SC220, pull the release pin toward the front of the enclosure.
