INSTRUMENT SIGNALS AND MALFUNCTIONS
LOW BATTERY WARNING AND BATTERY REPLACEMENT
If the battery has run down, or if its voltage has reached the limit value of 6.5 Volts, a beep sounds
every 10 seconds and the
H
symbol appears permanently on the display. In these conditions the
battery should be replaced as soon as possible.
If you continue to use the instrument and the battery voltage falls as low as 5.5 Volts, the instru-
ment is no longer able to ensure correct measurement and the Err code is displayed.
AFTER CHANGING THE BATTERY YOU MUST UPDATE THE CLOCK AND THE PARAME-
TERS P2, P3, P9, P10 ... AND SO ON.
To change the battery turn the instrument retaining screw in an anti-clockwise direction. After repla-
cing it (with an ordinary 9V alkaline battery) close the instrument, inserting the tag into the slot pro-
vided, and turn the screw in a clockwise direction.
The stored data will not be lost even if the instrument remains without batteries.

Err
On the upper or lower display indicates that:
* the dissolved Oxygen probe is exceeding the measurement limits;
* the temperature exceeds the range 0-50°C and does not allow the measurement of
Oxygen;
* the pressure measurement is wrong and does not allow the measurement of Oxygen;
* the probe is disconnected or broken;
* the battery voltage is too low to take the measurement.
E01
Indicates errors in the management of the internal clock and of the display.
E02
Indicates errors in the management of the internal storage unit.
E03
Indicates that the instrument is not able to make any correct temperature measurement.
The dissolved Oxygen measurement is taken with the default temperature.
E04
The Pressure sensor inside the instrument is not giving a correct measurement.
E05
In calibrating the Oxygen probe the calibration limits (0.1÷1.5) have been exceeded.
Replace the membrane or change the electrolyte in the probe.
E06
Probe run down. This signal is given when the voltage between the reference electrode
and the anode is higher than 200 mV. It is advisable to change the electrolyte in the pro-
be or to replace the membrane.
FUL
Memory full.
LOU
When switching on this indicates that the instrument has switched off because the bat-
tery voltage was too low when it was in storage or serial output status. Change the bat-
tery even if there are no low battery signals.
