Shirts and blouses
z
When ironing shirts and blouses, a wide ironing board is advantageous.
z
First iron the yoke and collar on the wrong side, then on the right side, then the button
and buttonhole placket on the wrong side.
z
Start with the cuffs of the sleeves, which you first iron on the wrong side and then on
the right side. Then, iron the sleeves, first on the wrong side and then on the right side.
z
In the next step, iron the front section. For this, position the shirt on the ironing board
with the button placket, so that the point of the ironing board fits into the yolk. Iron
over the entire length of the first half of the shirt, then over the second half of the shirt.
z
Now, iron the back of the shirt in the same way as described.
z
Hang the shirt on a hanger for the steam to evaporate.
Trousers
z
First, iron the pockets, then the waistband, first on the wrong side and then on the right
side.
z
Then, pull the top of the trousers over the ironing board and iron
on both sides.
z
Are the trousers intended to have a crease? Then place the left
trouser leg on the ironing board with the outer side so that both
seams are exactly on top of one another. Pay attention to the
existing crease.
z
First, iron the inner side of the trouser leg, then the outer side.
Do the same with the second trouser leg.
z
Hang the trousers on a trouser hanger for the steam to evaporate.
z
Creases that have accidentally been ironed in can be ironed out again with a shot of
steam.
