Never change the RAID mode when you have
data that you want saved. All data will be lost even
without undergoing a formal formatting process.
ADDITIONAL NOTE:
You should never format a hard
drive that contains data you want saved. Formatting
erases all data on the drive. Consult a professional
or computer expert in data recovery if you are unsure
how to proceed.
