Freeing up a jam
Changing the rotation direction:
1. Change the direction of rotation, as
described in the section “Operation/
Changing the direction of rotation (re-
verse)”.
Jammed chopping material is released.
2. Change the direction of rotation again
to continue chopping (see chapter
“Operation / Switching on and off”).
Change the distance of the pressure
plate:
For stubborn blockages, the distance of
the pressure plate (
24) from the blade
cylinder (
28) can be increased.
1. Turn the adjusting screw (
8) anti-
clockwise.
2. Run the
blade cylinder (
28)
back-
wards as described under “Operation
/ Changing the rotation direction”.
3. When the jammed chopping material
has been released, the pressure plate
(
24) must be readjusted by turning
the adjusting screw (
8) clockwise.
Exceptionally, if this process fails
to remove the blockage, the fol-
lowing option remains:
Unscrew housing plate
Blockages in the device can be removed
after unscrewing the housing plate.
Turn off the device and unplug the
power cord.
Wear protective gloves when han-
dling the blade cylinder
1. Remove the four hexagon sock-
et screws with snap ring (23)
from the housing plate (7).
2. Remove the housing plate (7).
3. You can now remove the block-
age in the appliance.
4. When replacing the housing
plate (7), make sure it is posi-
tioned correctly. It is fixed based
on the blade shaft (27), pressure
plate pin (24a) and their uptakes
(25/26) on the back of the hous-
ing plate (7).
5. Screw the housing plate (7) and
the snap rings (
23) with the
four hexagon socket screws.
Adjusting the pressure plate
You will recognise that the cutting system
has become worn when the shredding
material is only compressed, and comes
out in long chains.
The running-in process may require that
you initially readjust the pressure plate in
short intervals.
1. Switch on the equipment.
2. Turn the adjusting screw (
A
8) slowly
clockwise until you hear scraping
noises. Small aluminium shavings will
come out of the ejection chute.
Avoid unnecessary wear on the
pressure plate by not over-adjusting.
Maintenance and cleaning
Leave all work not described
in this manual to an authorised
customer service centre. Only
use original parts.
Wear hand protection when work-
ing on the blade cylinder.
