Instructions
1.
Batteries are pre-installed in the thermometer. An extra battery is included with the
thermometer for your convenience.
2.
Before using the thermometer pull out the protective film from the front panel.
3.
To turn on the thermometer unfold the probe from the housing and the LCD will
display all options, and then the current temperature.
4.
The default temperature scale is set to Fahrenheit. To switch to Celsius press the
ºF/ºC
key.
5.
The thermometer comes precalibrated and ready to use. You can re-calibrate it
anytime if you believe the temperatures are inaccurate using the ice-bath method.
Refer to the instructions on the reverse side to create a proper ice water bath.
Stick the probe in the ice bath and hold the
CAL
button for 5 seconds.
"CALL"
will display on the LCD indicating it is in calibration mode. If the display reads
"ERR" it means the water is too warm for the thermometer to be calibrated. If that
is the case add more ice to bring the temperature down to within a few degrees
of 32ºF/0ºC and press the
CAL
button again. While in calibration mode, use the
ºF/ºC
button to increase the digit and the
HOLD
button to decrease the digit until
you reach 32ºF/0ºC. After several seconds of non-activity the display will reset to
normal operation.

To use Data-hold press the
HOLD
key before removing the probe from product.
This will hold the temperature reading until the button is pressed again.
7.
To display the minimum or maximum temperature press the
MIN/MAX
key for 3
seconds. The
MAX
indicator along with the maximum temperature reading will
appear on the LCD. Press again and
MIN
indicator along with the minimum saved
temperature reading appears on the LCD. To reset the
MIN/MAX
temperatures,
get the LCD in either
MIN
or
MAX
modes as explained above. Press and hold the
MIX/MAX
button for 3 seconds. The screen will briefly show "
--.-
" signal it has
been reset and that the new
MIN/MAX
temperature readings have been saved.
8.
To turn on the LCD back light press the
key. It will turn off after several
seconds.
Operation

Hand wash the metal probe in soapy water
•
Sterilize metal probe by using alcohol wipe to sanitize.
Warnings and Precautions
DO NOT LEAVE THE THERMOMETER IN THE OVEN WHILE COOKING.
DO NOT IMMERSE THERMOMETER IN WATER
DO NOT TOUCH HOT PROBE WITH BARE HANDS.
