5.6 Drain the chamber

Drain the chamber
If there is too much water left in the chamber, you can manually drain
the chamber via the menu:
ü
The DAC Universal is switched on and ready for operation.
ü
The empty Blue lid is available and cooled down.
1.
Turn over the Blue lid so that the adapters are facing downwards.
The blue marking is pointed towards you.
2.
Place the Blue lid at the front of the DAC Universal holder and insert
the Blue lid straight in the holder.
NOTE
Make sure that the lid is inserted all the way into the holder. Make
sure there are no objects in the chamber. The DAC Universal, the lid
and/or the instruments can be damaged if a lid is not inserted
correctly.

Press the "
Menu" function key from the homescreen.
4.
Press the "
Manual" function key.
5.
Press the "
Manual: Empty chamber" function key.
Ä
The lid closes automatically.
Ä
The water is pumped from the chamber into the drain tank /
drainage system.
Ä
The lid opens again automatically after 60 seconds.
IMPORTANT
If the chamber is not completely empty, repeat the process until the
chamber is completely empty.

Validation
The DAC Universal has been type tested and works tested according to
requirements from applicable standards.
The manufacturer recommends validating the reprocessing process
with the DAC Universal every 12 months.
Your authorized dealer can supply information on whether local
validation procedures exist for your country. If so, the manufacturer
recommends performing validation of reprocessing with the DAC
Universal as specified by the local authorities.
