4.2 Reprocessing with the DAC UNIVERSAL

There are instruments on the Blue lid; the DAC Universal is still
open and ready for a reprocessing cycle.
Reprocessing

Press the "
Start" function key to start the cycle.
Ä
The Blue lid of the DAC Universal closes, the DAC Universal
detects the lid and selects the correct program.
Ä
The DAC Universal automatically runs the cleaning, lubrication
and disinfection cycle.
Ä
The display shows at any time which phase the DAC Universal
is in, see section "Process symbols [→ 39]“.

After the selected cycle has ended, the message appears on
the display see image on left.
Ä
The lid moves a little out of the chamber. This indicates that a
cycle has been successfully concluded and that the instruments
have been disinfected.
CAUTION
Risk of burns!
Never hold your head directly over the DAC Universal when it opens,
as steam may emerge from the device.
WARNING
Risk of contamination!
At the end of the cycle it must be ensured that all the instruments are
still properly attached to the adapters. If instruments have fallen into
the chamber during the cycle or if an instrument is no longer correctly
attached at the end of the cycle, then cleaning, lubrication and
disinfection have not been successful. In this case, reprocessing of
the instruments must be repeated.

Confirm" function key.

The Blue lid will open completely.
CAUTION
Risk of crushing!
Make sure that you do not trap your fingers between the opening lid
and an object, e.g., a wall cupboard which is located above.

The Blue lid is completely open.
CAUTION
Risk of burns!
Even when the Blue lid is partly or completely open, the instruments
are still hot. Allow the extremely hot instruments to cool down after
the process.
