5 Cleaning, maintenance and validation
5.1 Check & Clean process

Check the Check & Clean lid
Frequency: Weekly or every 50 cycles (whichever comes first).
The Check & Clean lid is detected automatically by the DAC Universal
software.
If the Check & Clean lid is not recognized, the holder moves up and the
lid must be reinserted into the holder.

Check the oil supply via the Check & Clean lid
Frequency: Weekly or every 50 cycles (whichever comes first).
In order to make sure that the DAC Universal is able to lubricate the
instruments correctly, the flow through the internal oil channels of the
Blue lid needs to be tested.

The DAC Universal is switched on and is in the Check & Clean
process menu.

The Check & Clean lid is correctly inserted into the holder.
1.
Go a step further in this Check & Clean option by pressing the
"
Navigate to next step" function key.
2.
Press the "
Check & Clean - start function" function key to start the
oil supply.

The DAC Universal pumps oil 5 times and then air for 30
seconds.
Ä
Oil comes through the drive channel (triangle marking).
3.
Repeat this process if no oil appears.
IMPORTANT
If the oil does not flow as described above, please contact your
authorized dealer.
IMPORTANT
If the oil is empty during the check and an error message appears,
this must be rectified before the Check & Clean process can be
restarted.
