Introduction:
Your metal detector is a small-size handheld detector, mainly used to Custom Check or
Security Check. It provides an audio alarm and visual alarm (or only a visual alarm), when
metal is detected.
Operating Instruction
1.
Loosen the screw on the battery cover, remove the Battery Cover, insert a fresh 9V
battery into the Battery Compartment as indicated the marked Polarity Symbol (+) and (-).
Insert the Battery Cover, retighten the screw on the battery compartment.
2.
Hold the detector in a comfortable position, set the slide switch(with 3 position). On the
left side of the detector, from the OFF position to
¤
position, the Power Indicator(Green
LED) on the front panel lit, and heard momentary beep sound.
3.
To test the detector. Pass it over a known target and check for audio alarm and visual
alarm (Red LED Lit, on the top of the search loop). It should be tested at regular intervals
to ensure correct operation.
4.
When further switch up the slide switch from
¤
position to
@
position, upon the
detection of metal only the Red LED produce visual alarm(no audio alarm).
5.
Adjusting the sensitivity
To adjust the sensitivity, use a small flat bladed screwdriver from the Sens. Adj. hole.
Rotate the adjustment clockwise to increase Sens. (Rotate counter-clock to decrease
Sens.) until both audio and visual alarm signal continuously, then back it off slightly, move
the target back and forth at the required distance above the detector. Factory set the
sensitivity at 5cm for a $0.25 coin.(Note: Do not adjust the Sens, higher than necessary,
as this may cause false alarms)
6.
Low Battery Indication
At the detector switch-on,(no detecting metal objects),heard continuously audio alarm, it
indicates the Battery Voltage is low, the Battery should be replaced.
7.
Trouble shooting
In the unlikely event that the detector gives random or continuously alarms, It is necessary
to determine the cause as follows steps:

If alarms continuously after switch-on, the Battery may be low, check/replace the
Battery.

If alarms when in motion, but is stable in open air, there could be too much metal in
the area. In this case use a different search area.

If alarms when motionless or motion, it could be the result of interference from
electronic equipment(as broadcast antennas, Power Lines and etc.),move to different
search area.

If neither of the above is successful, then the sensitivity may be too high, and requires
adjustment.
8.
Care and maintenance
Keep your detector clean and dry. Clean detector with a damp cloth to maintain its
appearance. Do not use chemical cleaners.
