OPERATION

Continued

nals.from.the.hand-held.remote.to.control.
the. room. temperature.. If. the. hand-held.
remote is misplaced, obstructed or for any 
reason cannot transmit to the receiver, the 
receiver will shut off the fireplace. This will 
occur. in. 8. or. more. minutes. depending.
upon.location.of.remote.transmitter.and.
strength.of.batteries.

MAIN BURNER

Periodically inspect all burner flame holes with 
the  heater  running. All  slotted  burner  flame 
holes should be open with yellow flame pres-
ent. All round burner flame holes should be 
open with a small blue flame present. Some 
burner flame holes may become blocked by 
debris  or  rust,  with  no  flame  present.  If  so, 
turn off heater and let cool. Remove blockage, 
blocked burner flame holes will create soot.

INSPECTING BURNERS

Key Pad Lock Feature

This feature allows the user to lock/unlock the 
keypad.on.the.hand-held.remote.in.the.MANU.
or.AUTO. mode. to. prevent. inadvertent. op-
eration.(i.e..children.operating.the.hand-held.
remote control, etc.). The keypad is locked in 
either on or off. Press the POWER and LOCK 
buttons.together.to.turn.the.unit.on.or.off.

Check pilot flame pattern and burner flame 
patterns.often.

PILOT FLAME PATTERN

Figure 34 shows a correct pilot flame pattern. 
Figure 35 shows an incorrect pilot flame pat-
tern. The incorrect pilot flame is not properly 
heating. the. thermocouple.. When. the. ther-
mocouple  cools,  the  heater  will  shut  down. 
If  pilot  flame  pattern  is  incorrect,  as  shown 
in.Figure.35
