Using OpenVoice
Signalling of New Messages
Note:
This PIN only safeguards the
access to your voicebox. It applies to
the terminal (i.e. the telephone
number) assigned to this voicebox. It
is
not
the same as the terminal PIN,
which you use to activate your tele-
phone lock, for example. The PIN
query in
OpenVoice
can be activated
and deactivated in the voice menu,
where you can also change the PIN
(refer to Menu 3: “Central settings”
starting on page 24). If you ever for-
get your voicebox PIN, your system
administrator can reset it to its fac-
tory setting, enabling you to define a
(new) PIN for your voicebox.
Signalling of New Messages
When there are new messages in
your voicebox, this is signalled on
the terminals and in the
OpenCTI 50
in different ways:
… on the OpenPhone 6x
System Telephones
The LED next to the Info key
flashes, and you are informed of in-
coming messages in the
Infos
menu on the display.
… on the OpenPhone 52
A flashing dot in the middle of the
display signals that there is at least
one message in your voicebox that
you haven't yet listened to (MWI dis-
play, “Message Waiting Indication”).
… on the
OpenPhone 2x
System Telephones
The
icon indicates that new
messages have arrived in your voice-
box.
... in the OpenCTI 50
New voicebox messages are entered
in the call list and are indicated by
the
icon.
Note:
Please note that the call list
in the
OpenCTI 50
is only displayed
for your system terminals.
... on Standard Terminals
New messages can be signalled by
means of a notification call on stand-
ard terminals.
