Control Tab
On the left side the Control Tab contains the two or three structuring entries
"
Power Supply
", "
Power Modules
", and "
UPS
" (if the UPS functionality is activated, please
refer to chapter 5.4.6.3.1) in order to branch to the different functionalities, i.e.:
for the display of the status and for the setup of the output voltage setpoint
and of the current alarm level within the "
Power Supply
" entry
or to the setup of the single power supply modules which are shown as sub-
entries within the "
Power Supply
" entry (chapter 5.4.4.1)
or to monitor the status of the power system in combination with the
DEV 5101 (chapter 5.4.4.2)
When opening the Control Tab for the first time in a Web Interface session, it
appears with the "
Power Supply
" entry activated which consists of two sections:
In the upper "Status" section, first the "Output Voltage" is shown indicating the
average of the output voltages of all installed power supply modules.
The second information is the "Total Current" which is the sum current
obtained at the output of each installed power supply module.
The "Setup" section permits the adjustment of "Voltage Setpoint" (i.e. the
output voltage of the device; chapter 3.1.2 provides information on the output
voltage ranges for the different power supply module types) and of "Current
Alarm Level" by entering appropriate values. The value for the "Current Alarm
Level" does not physically limit the output current but serves as a threshold for
alarming purposes. I.e. the measured current values of the installed power
supply modules are summed up and this sum is compared with the stored
alarm level. If the sum exceeds the level, an alarm is triggered. Chapter 4.3.1
states the default setting of the alarm level for each power supply module type
and the table at the end of chapter 4.3.1 informs regarding the adjustment of
the "Current Alarm Level" with respect to the present configuration. This
chassis is equipped with two 48 V power supply modules, thus it is appropriate
