PM Wake Up Events
Move the cursor to this field and press <Enter>. The following fields
will appear.
IRQ 8 Break Suspend
When this field is enabled, access to IRQ 8 will cause the system
to wake up from the Suspend mode.
Ring Power Up Control
This field allows you to enable the Wake-On-LAN and Wake-On-
Ring functions.

When enabled, the system will power-on to respond to calls
coming through an external or internal modem. Refer to “Wake-
On-Ring Connector” in chapter 2 for more information.

If you are using a LAN card that supports the remote wake
up function, set this field to Enabled. The will allow the network
to remotely wake up a Soft Power Down (Soft-Off) PC. How-
ever, if your system is in the Suspend mode, you can wake up
the system only through an IRQ or DMA interrupt. Your LAN
card must suppor t the remote wake up function. Refer to
“Wake-On-LAN Connector” in chapter 2 for more information.
PCIPME Power Up Control
This field should be set to Enabled only if your PCI card such as
LAN card or modem card uses the PCI PME (Power Manage-
ment Event) signal to remotely wake up the PC . Refer to the
card’s documentation for more information.
USB Port Wake Up Control
This field, when enabled, allows you to use a USB device to
wake up the system from the S3/S4/S5 state.
Hot Key Power Up Control
This field allows you to use Hot Keys to wake up the system.
PS2 Mouse Power Up Control
This field allows you to use the PS/2 mouse to wake up the
system from the S3/S4/S5 state.
