COM (Serial) ports
The serial ports are asynchronous communi-
cation ports with 16C550A-compatible UARTs
that can be used with modems, serial print-
ers, remote display terminals, and other serial
devices.
The COM port supports RS232 — two stacked
DB9 connectors at the rear side and one inter-
nal pin-header connector for monitoring the
BMC.
BIOS Setting
Configure the display devices in the "Ad-
vanced" menu (“Console Redirection” and "SIO
NCT6112D" submenus) of the BIOS.

Note:
The BMC COM port is used to monitor the IPMI functions and the BMC on the
SEM2500/SEM2510 card.
RJ45 LAN Ports
•
2 x Intel
®
I210AT PCIe (10/100/1000Mbps)
•
2 x Intel
®
x557-AT2 (10GbE)
The LAN ports allow the system board to connect to a local area network (LAN) by means of a
network hub.
BIOS Setting
Configure the onboard LAN ports in the "Advanced > PCI Express Configuration” submenu of
the BIOS.
