Check if the vehicle chassis and body are sufficiently strong to carry the proper weight of the ramp with its nominal load, both 
statically and dynamically.

Practical check: On technical drawings in paragraph  7.4, a bumper clearance curve is drawn. Use the dimensions on this 
drawing to verify the suitability of your vehicle. 

7.3

 

LATERAL INSTALLATIONS 

 

When the ramp is located at the side door it is possible that it stands over a stepwell. A support must be created to fill the gap 
between the base plate and the step.  

 

This support needs to be level with the vehicle floor and sufficiently strong to sustain the forces induced by the load on the 
platform.
