QUALITY CONTROL AND PDI
Finish the tail lift in accordance with local
regulations.
Execute all functions several times to ensure tail lift
functions correctly. In particular:
1
Verify that end stops for the lift arms are
strong enough and work correctly
2
Verify that platform in work position aligns
perfectly flush with vehicle bed.
3
Verify that platforms closes correctly in stow
position.
Install all features that will maximize the visibility of
the tail lift [Figure 15.1 - Figure 15.2]:

Apply the RD/WH visibility tape on both sides
of the platform.

Install the platform flags to the underside of
the platform point.

If applicable, connect the flashing platform
lights and verify their function.
If the operator is allowed to travel up and down on
the platform, the installer must mark a safe-work
zone of 400mmx400mm at a safe distance of 250
mm removed from the hazardous crushing area
between the inboard edge of the platform and the
rear sill of the body. [Figure 15.3]
Work through the PDI check-list included in chapter
3 of the user’s manual. Complete the practical
weight tests indicated. Fill-out the FITTING
DECLARATION.
During weight test, verify if the hydraulic pump pressure suits the nominal lift capacity for this application. Adjust the pressure if
too high or too low, seal the pressure relief valve after that [Figure 15.5 + Figure 15.4].
