9) PUTTING THE HTL INTO SERVICE
•
Only when all electrical connections have been
finished, and all mounting bolts have been
fasted with the required torque and safely
locked, is it allowed to switch on the battery
switch in the vehicle cabin, and put the electric
installation of the HTL under tension.
•
Consult the user’s manual in case of doubt with
regards to the correct use of the different lift
functions, and of the safety aspects linked to
HTL use. See Fig. 9.1 for a summary of the
main functions.
•
Use the functions “lift” and “close” to bring pressure in the
hydraulic circuits. As it is merely the purpose to assure
that the platform is supported hydraulically, abort this ac-
tion as soon as you see the platform lift and close. Re-
move the remaining fitting aids (hoist, overhead gantry
crane,…) from the platform.
•
Close the hydraulic power pack, and lock it on the left and
right side by means of the M8 locking bolts supplied with
the HTL. [See Fig. 9.2]
•
Use the function “open” and “close” to set the platform in
horizontal position. Use the function “lift” and “lower” to
bring the platform level with the loading floor.
•
Go under the HTL, to adjust the end stops for
the lift arms, and to set and limit the lifting
height of the horizontal platform. Adjust the
stroke of the M16 bolts on the left and right side
of the HTL frame, and firmly fasten the counter-
nut against the lift frame to ascertain this posi-
tion. [See Fig. 9.3]
