PREPARATION WORK ON VEHICLE BODY, CHASSIS, AND TAIL LIFT
Position the vehicle over a workshop pit, or lift it up by means of a workshop lifting bridge or hydraulic jacks. Make sure that
you have sufficient access to the underside of the vehicle, so that the fitting work can be performed in a relaxed and safe
manner. (Figure 7.1).
Remove the spare wheel carrier, part of the exhaust pipe, and any other components interfering with the installation of the tail
lift frame. (Figure 7.2)
Verify dimensions with the FITTING DRAWING, and determine the scope of the work required to prepare and adapt the
vehicle chassis to the tail lift fitting.
