DHOLLANDIA
Use the FITTING DRAWING for all further reference. The fitting drawing contains useful information with regards to the position
of the tail lift under the vehicle chassis, the fitting height, the fixation of the mounting plates, the position of the platform, and
possible modifications to the chassis or body.
For factory-built panel vans, there is no “range” in which you can choose between different mounting heights. The mounting
plates are tailor made to one specific brand of vehicle, and in most cases even to one specific wheelbase within one and the
same brand. As a result, the mounting plates and the fitting drawing supplied with the tail lift will suit only one specific type of
vehicle.
Lay the mounting plates ready on the ground, and position the tail lift frame on a wheeled fitting jack or fork lift, that will later be
used to slide the tail lift frame under the vehicle chassis. See Figure 7.3.
Loosen the 2 hexagonal bolts and locking nuts (1 left & 1 right) that serve as mechanical stops for the lift arms, so that they can
be easily adjusted in the finishing stage of the fitting process, when the frame is fitted under the vehicle chassis, and access
becomes more awkward. See Figure 7.4.
WARNING
NEVER modify DHOLLANDIA tail lifts or their mounting plates, NEVER deviate from the described installation procedures without
prior written consent by the manufacturer.
