Bearing Maintenance:
•
Reassemble the bearings

into the
ground roller
(2)
with their
cap screws.
◦
Torque the hardware to
51ft-lbs (69Nm).
•
Reassemble the ground roller
(2)
with
its hardware to the flail.
◦
Use loctite 262 with primer 7649
on the (4) bolts
(3)
for the drive
belt side.
◦
Torque the (4) bolts
(3)
on the
drive belt side to
75ft-lbs (102Nm).
◦
Use loctite 243 on the center
bolt
(16)
for the non-drive belt side.
◦
Use loctite 262 with primer 7649
on the (4) outer bolts
(3)
for the
non-drive belt side.
◦
Torque all (5) bolts
(3)(16)
on the
non-drive belt side to
75ft-lbs (102Nm).
Cutting Height Adjustment:
•
Loosen the retaining plates
(17)
and
lock nuts
(18)
on both sides of
the flail.
•
Adjust the ground roller brackets
(19)
up or down by turning the
adjustment nuts
(20)
.
•
Tighten the lock nuts
(18)
and
retaining plate
(17)
hardware.
◦
Torque the hardware to
75ft-lbs (102Nm).
