TRANSFORMING FOR OPERATION WITH ANOTHER TYPE OF GAS
4.1
HOB
- Take off the grills, burner lid and burner body.
- Remove the knobs.
- Take off the front panel.
4.1.1
REPLACING THE PLAQUE BURNER NOZZLE FIG. 1
Replace the nozzle (Fig. 1 pos. 2) of the burner (size-12 wrench) with one corresponding to the type of gas chosen, following
Tables II Injectors.
4.1.2
REPLACING THE PLAQUE PILOT BURNER NOZZLE Fig. 2
- Remove the two locking washers (Fig. 2 pos. 3).
- Lift the head of the pilot burner (Fig. 2 pos. 5).
- Replace the nozzle (Fig. 2 pos. 4) of the pilot burner using the size-5 wrench with one corresponding to the type of gas
chosen, following Table II Injectors.
- Before fitting the head (Fig. 2 pos. 5), adjust the primary air by turning its regulator (Fig. 2 pos. 6). Ignite the pilot light and
check the length and quality of the flame, which should neither be too weak nor too strong, but approximately 20 mm,
almost detached from the head and without a yellow tip (L.P.G.).
4.1.3
REPLACING THE “BY-PASS” IDLE SCREW
- Replace the minimum thermal capacity screw, by-pass (Fig. 1 pos. 1) with one corresponding to the type of gas chosen,
following Table II Injectors.
- The thermal capacity on the minimum position must be approximately 30% of the nominal thermal capacity. When you
turn the knob fast from the maximum position ( ) to the minimum position ( ) the burner must neither go out nor
backfire.
4.2
OVEN
4.2.1
REPLACING THE OVEN BURNER NOZZLE
After removing the oven bottom, disassemble the protection box.
- Using a size-12 spanner (Fig.6 position 4), replace the burner nozzle with one corresponding to the type of gas chosen and
following Table II Injectors.
4.2.2
REPLACING THE PILOT BURNER NOZZLE
N.B.: We advise to first remove the spark plug because it can easily break.
Unscrew the nut with a size-10 spanner (Fig.6 position 2) and remove the nozzle (Fig. 6 position 1). The nozzle is hooked to
the bicone (Fig. 6 position 3).
Replace the nozzle (Fig. 6 position 1) with one corresponding to the gas type chosen, according to Table II Injectors.
Tighten the nut firmly with a size-10 spanner and check for gas leaks with bubble soap.
4.2.3
ADJUSTING THE OVEN BURNER
Replace the idle screw (Fig. 5 position 11) located on the thermostat with one corresponding to the type of gas chosen,
following Table II Injectors.
The primary air is adjusted by setting the primary air regulator (Fig. 4 position 8) in accordance with Table II Injectors.
After adjusting the distance, fix it with the screw; re-assemble the protection after having mounted the pressure intake screw.
After replacing the nozzles, apply on the existing label the one supplied with the machine indicating the new type of gas.
