Description of individual instruments
The EFIS instrumentation is composed by:
- Altimeter ref. Pressure
- ADF-GPS arrow
- Skid indicator
- Time of turn
- Pitch and roll indicator
- Variometer
- Altimeters
- Anemometer
- Compass
- G-meter
Barometric Altimeter: QNE, QFE, QNH are shown, all depend from
the absolute pressure sensor of the fmsAT module. If the calibration of
the fms50 is modified, all the indications of the fms50 will be
modified. Barometer precision is +- 2 mB between 20°C to 60°C and
operating pressure range is between 300 to 1200mB.
ADF-GPS: Same meaning as in the GPS page: direction to move to
selected way-point.
Skid indicator: Intuitive indication of angle with full scale reading of
10°; if the small ball moves outside the two central lines the skid angle
exceeds 2.5°.
Time of turn: The minutes and tenths of minutes needed for a full turn
appear on the side of skid indicator. Shown only when turn time is
below 9.9 minutes and GPS has a valid fix.
Pitch and Roll indicator: The acceleration on 3 axis are combined with
GPS data. Presentation active only with valid GPS FIX. Precision is 1°
and range+-60°.
Altimeters: precision of +- 15m between 20 to + 60°C; repeatability
at constant temperature of +- 0.2 m, operating range 800 to 9000
m.
