the Fiery Print Calibrator User Guide files are in the Online Documentation folder
at the top level of the User Software CD. The Acrobat Reader installation includes
an online help file for Acrobat Reader.
Installing the Monitor Setup file and Separation Tables
The files in the Separation Tables folder are for use with Adobe Photoshop. They
provide
EFICOLOR
data conversions when you use Photoshop to convert images
from one mode to another, such as color data between RGB, Lab color, and
CMYK color spaces.
Mode conversions are commonly used when you use Photoshop to print an image
specified in RGB mode to a printer (such as the Colorwriter) that uses CMYK
toner colors. They are also used when you use Photoshop to save separations.
EFICOLOR
color conversions that involve RGB data should start with a
standardized RGB color space. This is provided by the Calibrated RGB file, which
is loaded into Photoshop’s Monitor Setup.

1.
Double-click the Separation Tables folder. Drag the contents of the folder into
your Adobe Photoshop folder on your hard disk.
2.
Start Photoshop.
3.
Choose Preferences from the File menu, and choose Monitor Setup from the
submenu.
4.
In the Monitor Setup dialog box, click Load. In the dialog box that appears, select
Calibrated RGB and click Open.
5.
Choose High from the Ambient Light pop-up menu, and click OK to apply the
settings.
6.
Choose Preferences from the File menu, and choose Separation Tables from the
submenu.
